How to use
Fateweaver runs on top of AION 2. Most of it runs on its own. This page covers what each button does when you want to take over.

Install
- Install Npcap from npcap.com with the default options. It's a free, one-time capture driver; Fateweaver reads combat from the game's network traffic, like every AION 2 meter. Skip it and Fateweaver offers the download on first start.
- Download Fateweaver.zip from the home page, extract it to a folder of its own, and run Fateweaver.exe. Windows may show a "protected your PC" warning because the app isn't code-signed yet: choose More info, then Run anyway.
- Set AION 2 to borderless windowed, so the overlay can draw on top of the game.
Started Fateweaver while already in game? Change zones once (teleport, or enter a dungeon) so it recognizes which character is you.
When a new version is out, Fateweaver tells you in Alerts. Download the zip again and replace the old files.
The meter
The meter starts by itself when you fight, clears when you change maps, and saves every boss fight. Engaging a boss clears the trash before it, so the boss fight starts clean.
Top row
- Logo
- Copies a screenshot of the meter to your clipboard.
- History
- Opens Battle History, your saved fights.
- Reset
- Clears the current numbers. Anything worth saving is saved first.
- Calendar
- Opens Timers and tools. A dot on it means unread alerts, colored by kind: purple update, yellow notice, blue timer, red boss. Fateweaver's taskbar icon shows the same dot.
- Minimize
- Folds the meter down to this one line so it stops covering your HUD. It keeps recording and nudges still show. Click again to open it.
- Gear
- Settings: how the meter looks and behaves, and Diagnostics.
- X
- Quits Fateweaver.
Rows
One row per player, the bar in their class color. Click a row to open that player's Details.
Bottom row
The first two buttons set themselves. Clicking one overrides it until your situation changes; then it goes back to automatic.
- PARTY
- Who is shown. PARTY when you're grouped or in a dungeon, FORCE in a force, EVERYONE solo. MYSELF shows only you and your spirits, and stays on until you click it off. PARTY 4/7 means 4 of the 7 players in the fight are shown.
- BOSS
- Which enemies count. TRAIN on a training dummy, BOSS when you hit a boss or are in a dungeon, ALL otherwise.
- DPS
- What each row shows: DPS, total damage (DMG), BOTH, or HEAL, which ranks players by healing done.
- Arrows
- Flips the order of the list.
- Ping
- Your latency to the game server.
History and Details
Battle History keeps every boss fight automatically; filter it by boss, class or date. It also saves two other kinds of record:
- Full run: when you leave a dungeon, the whole run is saved as one record, trash and wipes included, with everyone's damage and healing per skill. Its duration counts only time in combat.
- Training dummy: a 90-second run from your first hit, your damage only. Stop for 5 seconds, spirits included, and your next hit starts a new run.
Open a record, or click a player on the meter, to get Details:
- Pick All or one player from the list on the left.
- DMG / HEAL switches every number between damage and healing.
- DPS chart, Skill and Timeline fold open and closed, and the window resizes to fit.
- The camera copies the panel to your clipboard. Under the gear next to it, you can include the meter in the picture or also save a PNG (Pictures\Fateweaver by default).
Timers and tools
The calendar button on the meter opens four tabs.
- Timers
- Rifts, sieges, world bosses, Shugo Festival, Dimensional Invasions and resets, on the game's schedule and shown in your local time. Switch a timer on to get a nudge next to the meter before it starts; open its card to pick 1 to 15 minutes ahead. Settings at the bottom: sound, volume, window opacity, and your server's clock (NA East is US Eastern).
- Field Bosses
- Respawn countdowns for every field boss, from the community feed and the kills your meter sees. Press Killed when you see one die: you get 5 seconds to undo, and an × removes a kill logged by mistake.
- Tools
- My stats, read from the game, and your daily and weekly checklist. Dungeon runs tick themselves off.
- Alerts
- Every nudge you've received: updates first, then server notices, then the rest. × dismisses one. You also get a reminder before maintenance takes the servers down.
